Our Process

When you have called or emailed to set up an appointment we will have a few questions about the appliance and the context it is situated in.

If you have any special instructions we are always happy to accommodate if possible.

On the day of the appointment we will arrive at the agreed upon time.

First we’ll take a look at the exterior of the chimney to assess the need for accessing the roof.

Then we’ll enter the home and lay down sheets to protect the floor and use sheets, foam pads, and painters tape to seal the wood burning appliance to avoid releasing fine particles into your home.

Next we will open the appliance and take out any parts necessary to clean them and access the flue.

Then we will run a camera through the system to see what condition it is in.

Next we’ll choose the appropriate rotary sweeping tool and sweep the chimney from the top down while running our state of the art filtered vacuum at the entry point to the appliance to catch any escaping particles.

Again we will run the camera back up through the system to check our sweep.

Then we will put the appliance back together and do a final vacuum of the area around the appliance leaving nothing but a clean chimney behind when we go.
